Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2025
These Terms of Service govern your use of Arrow Driving School's services and website. By booking a lesson or course with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Booking & Confirmation
All lesson bookings must be made through our website booking form or by calling us directly at (780) 721-8282. A booking is considered confirmed only when you have received a confirmation from our team via phone or email. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.
Students are required to hold a valid Alberta learner's licence (Class 7 or higher) before any in-car lesson can proceed. If you do not hold a valid licence on the day of your lesson, the lesson may be cancelled and a cancellation fee may apply.
2. Cancellation Policy
We require a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee equal to the cost of that lesson.
Arrow Driving School reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a lesson due to instructor illness, vehicle issues, severe weather, or other circumstances beyond our control. In these cases, no cancellation fee will be charged and we will work with you to reschedule promptly.
3. Payment Terms
Payment for courses and individual lessons is due prior to or at the time of the first session, unless other arrangements have been agreed in writing with our team. We accept cash, e-transfer, and other payment methods as advised at the time of booking.
Prices listed on our website are current at the time of publication but may be subject to change. The price quoted to you at the time of booking is the price you will be charged.
4. Refund Policy
If you wish to cancel your enrolment after payment has been made:
- Cancellations made more than 7 days before the first lesson: full refund less a $25 administrative fee.
- Cancellations made within 7 days of the first lesson: refund for unused lessons only, less a $25 administrative fee.
- Once a lesson has been completed, no refund is available for that lesson.
Refund requests must be submitted in writing to thearrowdrivingschool@gmail.com. Refunds will be processed within 10 business days.
5. Student Responsibilities
Students are expected to:
- Arrive on time for all scheduled lessons and be ready at the agreed pick-up location
- Hold a valid Alberta learner's or driver's licence throughout their enrolment
- Follow all instructions given by their instructor
- Behave in a respectful and safe manner during all lessons
- Inform us of any medical conditions that may affect their ability to drive safely
Arrow Driving School reserves the right to terminate a lesson immediately if a student's behaviour poses a safety risk, without refund for that session.
6. Vehicle Use
All in-car lessons take place in Arrow Driving School vehicles, which are dual-control and maintained in roadworthy condition. Students may use our vehicle for their Alberta road test subject to availability and instructor approval. Additional fees may apply for road test vehicle use.
7. Liability Disclaimer
Arrow Driving School and its instructors are not liable for any injuries, accidents, or property damage that occur during a lesson, except where caused directly by instructor negligence. All driving lessons carry inherent risks associated with driving, and students participate with acknowledgement of these risks.
We carry all required insurance as mandated by Alberta Transportation for certified driving schools.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
